European Centre for Certification and Privacy is an SME specialised in research and innovation in the data protection and certification domain. ECCP is particularly active in Privacy and Personal Data Protection with a focus on data protection assessment and certification. It is in charge of maintaining and further developing the Europrivacy Certification Scheme (https://europrivacy.org/) on the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance assessment. It is supported by an International Board of Experts in data protection. Europrivacy is the first Scheme that have been endorsed by the European Data Protection Board as the official European Data Protection Seal.

Prospective candidates will be supporting ECCP in research activities and legal analysis in relation to the Europrivacy Certification Scheme, an innovative GDPR certification mechanism capable of certifying various data processing activities. All trainees will be involved with performing research on the extension of the Europrivacy Criteria with national obligations, European regulations, and global expansion of privacy certification. Other activities include the support and user experience optimisation of the Europrivacy Community website, communication activities, including event organisation and social media management, and the support of the Europrivacy Academy and organisation of training courses.
The traineeship will be performed in close cooperation with Mandat International foundation and its IoT Lab platform for research.

Prospective candidates should have a background or strong interest in personal data protection and technology. Prior training on the Europrivacy Academy is a plus.
The position requires a full-time commitment (40 hours per week) and minimum 6 months, preferably 12 months long availability.
The core ECCP and Europrivacy websites utilise Drupal and WordPress. Prior experience or interest in learning the use of such platforms/interest in programming would be an asset.
The working language of the organisation is English; therefore, a strong oral and written command is necessary for candidates to be able to contribute to the activities (C1 level minimum).
