Since 1979, the firm offers boutique legal services and tailor-made solutions to multinational companies, primarily German, Swiss and Austrian corporations. It is the designated law firm of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany and Switzerland in Istanbul for over 35 years.
Law firm
The trainee will be involved in the daily workflow of an international-oriented law practice and will actively support the legal team in both advisory and dispute matters. Tasks will include:
-Legal research on Turkish law (mainly corporate, commercial and employment law) and comparative research when required
-Preparation of draft memoranda and legal opinions
-Drafting and proofreading client correspondence in English and Turkish (occasionally German-based documentation in English)
-Assisting in the preparation of contracts, corporate documents and internal policies
-Supporting litigation files (chronologies, document review, evidence classification, hearing preparation)
-Participation in client meetings and internal strategy discussions (subject to confidentiality rules)
-Preparation of translations and summaries of legal documents
General assistance in multinational client matters and cross-border projects
The trainee will gain practical experience in advising foreign-owned companies operating in Türkiye and exposure to real case handling rather than purely academic work.

We are looking for a law graduate or final-year law student about to graduate who intends to pursue a career in corporate and commercial law practice.
Requirements:
-Law degree (or last semester before graduation)
-Excellent command of written and spoken German or English (mandatory – daily working language)
-Strong legal drafting and writing skills
-Attention to detail and structured working habits
-Ability to work under deadlines and take responsibility
-Interest in working with multinational clients
-Proficiency in MS Office (especially Word)
Preferred:
-Previous internship experience in a law firm
-Interest in corporate, contract and employment law
-Familiarity with legal research methods
Important:
-This traineeship is practice-oriented. The trainee will be expected to produce written work (drafts, summaries, research notes and client correspondence) on a daily basis and will receive feedback accordingly. The position is suitable for candidates considering a professional legal career rather than a short observational internship.
