TYPE OF THE STEP TRAINEESHIP PROVIDER

TRAINEESHIP TASKS

The trainee will primarily support the LEXR team in trademark and intellectual property matters, while also gaining exposure to a broad range of legal topics relevant to tech and high-growth companies.

In particular, the trainee will:
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and assist with preliminary assessments;
- Support the drafting and filing of trademark applications in various jurisdictions;
- Assist in the management of trademark portfolios, including monitoring deadlines and renewals;
- Contribute to IP strategy work for innovative clients

In addition, the trainee will gain insight into all fields of practice of LEXR. This includes exposure to the German and Swiss tech start-up ecosystem and its legal challenges, such as:
- Commercial and contractual work (e.g. drafting agreements and legal documents);
- Regulatory topics, including data protection (GDPR, FADP) and AI regulations;
- Legal aspects of technology-driven business models and commercial operations

Depending on their qualifications and interests, the trainee may:
- Conduct legal research and prepare internal memos;
- Participate in client meetings and support ongoing mandates;
- Contribute to internal knowledge management and process improvement

For candidates with a particular interest in technology, innovation or business development, we also offer the possibility of hybrid roles, providing exposure not only to legal work but also to LEXR’s tech and business development functions.
