The IT Law programme (University of Tartu School of Law) is driven
by the high demand for IT Law specialists in the private and public
sector, as well as the ambitions of Estonia as an IT country and a
forerunner in innovative digital initiatives in Europe and beyond (e-
Estonia.com).
It coordinates MA and Continuing Education studies in IT Law and conducts research on
secure e-services, data protection and international cyber security, as
well as artificial intelligence.
The University of Tartu (est. 1632) is the largest higher education and
research center in Estonia. It ranks among the top 2 percent of the
world's best universities (Times Higher Education World University
Ranking). UT operates the most influential School of Law in the
country. According to the QS World University Rankings law studies in
University of Tartu were are 251-300 for the second consecutive year.

It is stated above that the traineeship location is negotiable, that means
we are willing to conduct it on-site or remotely, depending on
restrictions due to COVID-19.
When applying for the traineeship at the IT Law Programme, please pay
particular attention to the quality of your letter of motivation. It should
be at least 5000 characters (with spaces) long and specify: 1) why you
are interested in learning more and contributing to the development of
the field of Information Technology Law; 2) which particular skills you
bring along for your work in the IT Law Programme in Estonia.
Please note that we are flexible with the starting time of the traineeship,
as long as the 2 month duration ends by 1st of February 2023.
