Kincaid | Mendes Vianna Advogados, was established in 1932 in Rio de Janeiro by a US-born lawyer called Carl Kincaid, jointly with other Brazilian lawyers, the law office Kincaid | Mendes Vianna Advogados was originally structured to provide legal assistance to foreign companies that at the time were beginning to invest in Brazil.

We consolidated our expertise in the areas of civil, commercial and business law, notably in the areas of shipping, energy and international law, with emphasis on litigation, arbitration regulatory, labour and tax.

With the expansion of new sectors of the economy, such as the services sector for the oil industry, concurrently with the joining of new partners and associate lawyers, we expanded our areas of expertise and nowadays we provide a range of services.

Our Training Program will cover some of them in order to give you an overview of the Brazilian Legislation and the related practice.

These aspects of our internship programme are aimed at giving a realistic experience of life as an student or an associate at Kincaid.

During our programme, you will have the opportunity to attend meetings and conferences with international clients, depositions, court proceedings, as well as department meetings.

Our Training Program will cover some of them in order to give you an overview of the Brazilian Legislation and the related practice.

These aspects of our internship programme are aimed at giving a realistic experience of life as an student or an associate at Kincaid.

During our programme, you will have the opportunity to attend meetings and conferences with international clients, depositions, court proceedings, as well as department meetings, help with the administrative tasks involving but not limited to: business development efforts, translations, review of documents in English, conduct due diligence.

Previous experience in a legal environment or professional services preferred. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to develop positive working relationships (in-person and virtually).Complete fluency (verbal and written) in English.
