KMOP, founded in 1977, is one of the oldest civil society organizations in Greece, with extensive experience in
direct provision of social services and implementation of social initiatives. Over the last years, the organization
has established an international presence, and is now active in 7 countries, and operating permanent offices in
Athens, Thessaloniki, Brussels and Skopje.
KMOP is dedicated to making a positive social impact through research and innovative initiatives that address
critical social issues, inform public debate and help shape policy, nationally and internationally.
Our mission is to contribute to effective social-policy design and to lead impactful programmes that promote
individual well-being, reduce inequalities, eliminate vulnerabilities, and foster inclusive and sustainable social
Non-governmental organisation (NGO)
Social Net is a multi-purpose center created by KMOP in 2022, with the aim to support and offer
guidance to people facing social, psychological and economic issues.
Through a wide range of educational and empowerment services, which are offered free of charge, Social
Net supports non-privileged groups to improve their living conditions.
Social Net offers, among others, individual counselling and guidance, advisory legal support, education
courses, job counselling, as well as psychosocial support. Our services are based on the principles of
transparency, ethics and respect, and focus on combating discrimination and protecting the individual
rights of each member of society.
Trainees will be involved in the above mentioned activities by providing legal counseling and support
to Social Net's beneficiaries.
